British people: Is it common that some of Britons do not know where is Germany? In fact, I have no intention to insult the British.
So, I appreciate it if you not misunderstand the purpose of my question.
I wonder if it is true.
I remember some scenes from the film British romantic comedy "Brigit Jones", starring Renee Zellweger and Hugh Grant.
Hugh Grant makes fun of Renee Zellweger, because she does not know where Germany is.
Of course, I know it's just a kind of fiction.
But movies are often the current situation of a company a few degrees, unless they are fantasy films.
Frankly, I do not think there would be British citizens who do not know the location of Germany, which is one of the countries of Great Britain the nearest neighbor and one of the most powerful Europe.
And I am of Northeast Asia - specifically Korea.
It would be quite understandable if some people do not know where Britain is Korea.
I recognize that Korea is not as well known as my neighbors like Japan and China for the British.
And of course, I used to see some people who said Britain had never heard of Korea, when I was in Southampton, England to learn English for six months in 2001.
I had the impression that they usually seemed to guess that I was from China or Japan.
On the other hand, Korea is relatively well known in the United States.
Maybe it's because we have close ties with America in politics and economics.
And one last thing, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you tend to associate British "Asians" with "people of Indian subcontinent and the Middle East, excluding persons the Far East.
I think it is because India and Pakistan were British colonies in the past and therefore you are more familiar with them. Right?
How are you political allies of the Americans? They are only interested in your country because of the cost of your work and your location. I'm not English, I'm Irish. I was in Korea, lived in Germany and the United States and understand the politics of all these regions. Do not fool yourself into believing that the AI of a U.S. ally. If labor costs down more in China, you find Koreans to move to find work, because the U.S. is already closing factories throughout Europe without notice. As for Hugh Grant, he could not tell the difference between a pedestrian and a vice cop ............. edit ....... Regarding you asked for opinions and I gave it. If you do not like it, then a thumbs down enough not a personal tirade. An attempt to minimize your country, read my post again. All the Koreans I know personally are honest and good, but you get the intruder everywhere. As for the IRA and Sinn Fein, if you want to ask about them, please. If I'm on the page, I'll give you my opinion on it, although you probably would not like that either.
We all depend on U.S. for financial reasons, do not worry about it, because it seems from your reply that you may have. Now, calm down and hope you will soon realize that some peple opinions may differ from yours at times throughout your life, which I hope will be a long one.
You again, Is it common that some people might have interpreted the British answer to your mistake and do not know where Germany and Asians are from India and / or the Middle East, and then click Yes to both.
As for my last sentence, of course I was sincere, just because we support the draw does not mean that I dislike, I have great respect for peole who can say, I have no not like people who attend certain parts of their clothes in public. My favorite here is Korean contacts and a first class lady.
Now have a nice day and go to your garden and the smell of jasmine and lilies.
