Funny Cake Tops

Funny Cake TopsI have little cakes shaped molds, but they get muffin tops on them and no way to prevent this?

I know it's just how things are cooking, but I have molds for the cars and flowers and things, and they always amusing because they are funny muffin tops on the bottom when turning them. Is it possible to avoid this, or do I just have to cut it (I do not do that because it makes the forms more brittle).

Pour the batter less.

AFTER you unmold, if you freeze the form before you cut, you flatten well when you cut off the rounded part on the bottom. Then return it.

Before turning out a long run (larger than the shape of the mold is) a knife on top of the cake cut the top of a small bubble. The cake will now be flat on top and look good when you freeze. When you put aside a very thin layer of icing on what is called a layer of breadcrumbs. When that sets you can put your icing on the mantle and the crumbs will be sealed in one of the crumbs for them to show habit.

Just Do not fill the molds so full ...

There is a trick about two thirds down that says to stir the dough a bit in the pan before cooking. It should work!

Nicki P had the best answer. I always had to cut the top of my cake before decorating so they can be flat. I saved all the waste and used them to make perfect, and Triffle added to a bowl of pudding. My family loved these little desserts and variety of desserts available in a box, we had some very memorable dessert!

I bang the cake pan on the counter several times to remove the air bubbles in the dough. If this happens again for your oven may be too hot. Most furnaces are very inaccurate in their readings. Check that too. I had an oven that was once out of 75 degrees! Otherwise just off the top crime, so be sure to coat crumbs of cake, then frost as usual.
