Funny Martial Arts Videos

Funny Martial Arts VideosWith violence, a video clip is worth a thousand words

I asked a self-defense seminar in New York and it is interesting to note the response to some people consistently shown how to use the violence to survive.

The instructors did a matter-of-fact job picking various vulnerable areas of the human body and show how to undermine these goals. We use an exclusive method that allows the student to learn to injure the body in a specific way to obtain the desired result.

We then show them how to use this information to cause injury to the human body on until the other guy is non-functional. This method produces results in literally a few days that we used to take several months to complete.

Customers quickly get good target, then wounded, areas of weakness identified in another human.Don 't get me wrong. This is not necessarily something beautiful to watch. Participants are often ugly with their "look", but their effectiveness is no doubt.

What is funny to me is the clients who have survived violence this approach to get real training on self-protection immediately. They realize that the methods and principles are good and they focus and develop the intention during the first day in the early sessions.

Customers who either have no experience of violence or only competative martial arts or combat sport backgrounds often pass these initial meetings to ask why we do what we do.They grappling with the idea of violence in order to be one-sided. It goes against everything they "know" about "real fighting.

Of course, what they bring to the knowledge of the course is to watch the media (movies, TV, Internet) or to participate and watch sports events of combat. The main objective of the media is entertainment. The producers want you to be involved in the conspiracy and if there is a sequence of action they want it to rivet you to your seat.

The main objective of combat sports is to win by bettering your opponent and score more points. Both can be great fun to watch.

Both media have restrictions that severely limit the use of realistic tool of violence. A good film is the restriction of keeping you entertained just have to ... entertaining.

Competitors combat sports event are hampered by rules agreed. Therefore, they rely on the skills developed athletics (being bigger, faster, stronger) to better the other guy and win the competition.

None of those worlds accurately reflects the effective use of the tool of violence. They should not. It would be contrary to the objective of two media.

From the point of view of entertainment, real violence is difficult to view because of the violence, but because it is relatively boring because it is so sided. In a contest, using actual violence leave many competitors mutilated , maimed or killed. It would be absolutely counter to the objective of the sporting event.

Where this becomes a major problem is when someone attempts to use these materials as a benchmark for "fight". They expect to see lots of "give and take" during training. They can not realize that injuries are not real is something you can shake and "continue to fight."

At a recent demo I did for a group of business at Harvard, I hammered this home using video clips from a martial artist showing a demo of the combat knife.

He made allegations about the knife and how a good cut stops a man down and send it into shock. He then demonstrated his claim on a piece of meat hanging. Everything looked very impressive and I could say the class was mesmerized.

Then I showed them pictures of prisoners in a horrific battle that has been cut repeatedly, even in the bones. The prisoners not only survived the attack - they ki.
