My kindergarten class elementary school every year is a Walt Disney. The character of the man would sometimes be played by two different people. Children stood on the side of the stage when their character was not of the stage and sang in the chorus. This allow each child on stage the whole show.

when I was kindergarten age, I went to a talent or skill in school during the summer. We have where the wild things are. We had a narrator who read the book, and then the children just acted out the parts, it's not complicated, we had fun, and parents appreciated! The costumes were great as well.
