A fan art / comics who do not have many comics.? I am curious to know how you feel about comics in the newspapers. There are only a handful of good time. Some of those I hated when I was young Family Circus (not a real comic based on Scott McCloud), Marmaduke and Garfield. I miss Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County, Far Side Gallery ...
And I despise superhero. Why should I read someone so larger than life and yet so strangely dull. I like the underground comic, some slice of life as American Splendor, a few select volumes manga, and some good old fashioned blood n 'guts action.
Some of my favorite books are the books Scott McCloud Understanding Comics and Reinventing Comics. I love what some of the gritty and experimental webcomics have done not only in terms of art, but pushing the limits.
I am an artist / aniamtor who loves comics, and has not spent more time contemplating what comics could be rather what they are. Any thoughts? Or am I just cynical.
There were superhero comics and romance comics and horror comics, and comics of adolescence, and western comics, and almost all the genres that you might care to name or imagine.
Is not it wonderful that there is room in the middle of so many different genres, styles and people ...? You talk as if you have ideas and you can still make your mark on the comics world. Good luck and we can see you in the funny papers one day!

Hey, What's Wrong with Garfield! GARFIELD ROX!
some are good today, like Garfield, foxtrot, Baby Blues, Beetle Bailey.
Calvin and Hobbes are my favorites but I'm hooked on them in the third year.
