A book fair renowned comic stands in San Diego, CA and is known as Comic Con or Comic Con International: San Diego. This is a four-day convention which has been underway since the 1970s when Shel Dorf founded. There are two other conventions held each year by the same organization, but are in San Francisco, WonderCon and Alternative Press Expo.

The conventions are held to showcase the comic. In addition, the agreement also includes science fiction, fantasy, television and film. Because the Convention has grown over the years, the Convention has broadened its themes feature. At the convention, you will also learn about the fantasy novels, anime, horror, game cards, webcomics, video games and manga. On average, the San Diego Comic Con there are 125,000 participants. If you are a part of these industries, you can have the chance to win the Prix inkwell.

At the convention you will participate, see and hear the various panels, workshops and seminars. All are being held by professional comics. Comic con was held in a large room because they need plenty of space for everything that is offered to the Convention. There are many exhibits to see about comics, television networks, production companies and media. comic book collectors show their prized possession of comics, and traders are there to sell well. After buying a comic book, or bring your own, you can get them signed. Comic Con Artist Alley what they call set up. Various artists from comics and writers are lined up and ready to autograph their comics.

This summer, the Comic Con convention will be held July 23-26. This is a preview night to be held July 22 at the San Diego Convention Center. However, if you do not already have your tickets, you will not be able to go. The Convention has already sold out. The first time the convention was sold last year, 2008. The convention has come a long way since its inception 40 years ago. The first convention was held at the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego, and was only a one day event. The first convention was held as a test to see if people would be of interest in the conventions later. They used the event to raise funds for San Diego Comic Con. The first show was a success and set the groundwork for the next 40 years.
